‘Hot Stuff’ Course

Intermediate in-line skating course in London Hyde Park.

Am I good enough for a ‘Hot Stuff’ Course?

This more advanced inline skating course is for you if you are no longer a beginner skater. You have learnt the basics of inline skating on our “Crash Course” and can Go with good technique, stop confidently using your heel-brake and can parallel turn at least on one side. You balance is improving and you can “toe-roll” for at least 3 seconds.

Our “Hot Stuff “Course takes you to the next level. After two hours you will be a faster, more efficient inline skater. Your balance will actually defy gravity. You will be cooler than an ice cube!

We cover T-stopping, spin stopping, street speed & technique, cross-over turns and some slalom moves. We have some cruel and unusual exercises to keep things fun and give you hours of practice after!

Your ‘Hot Stuff’ Course questions and our Terms and Conditions

How do I book my inline skating Course?
Phone us on: 07917 400 200, email or book online. The information is on our booking page. Group inline skaing courses must be booked in advance so we can control numbers and avoid no-shows. We use Paypal to take your payment as its secure. You can also use your credit or debit card.

Where do we meet? At the Hyde Park Corner end of Serpentine Road. (Nearest tube Hyde Park Corner)

What do I need to bring to my inline skating Course? Skates, obviously! We teach on ‘inline’ skates which have four wheels in a row and a heel-brake. We do not teach on ‘Rollerskates’ which have four wheels at the corners and a toe stopper.
Inline skates can be hired from ‘Club Blue Room’ at Marble Arch. or ‘Slick Willies‘ on Gloucester Road. Both within walking distance from Hyde Park. Hire a day early because our ‘Crash’ Course begins before the hire shops open. Here’s some good advice for buying inline skates. Protective padding: Wrist-guards, knee-pads are mandatory. Helmet and elbows recommended. These will come with hired inline skates so don’t worry. A bottle of water. A sense of humour. You may fall over and loose your cool. Falling usually hurts your dignity more than your bones! The first thing we teach you is how to fall over and get up again.

Please book in advance for summer group skating courses as they get booked up at least two weeks in advance. We start at 11.30 sharp. If you arrive late and miss the safety briefing you will not be allowed to attend.

What if it looks like rain? We will ask for a mobile number when you book your inline skating course and will call at least an hour before to confirm. Courses will generally go ahead unless it it wet on the ground. If we need to cancel because of rain we will re-book you onto a future Course of your choosing.

SkatesCool instructors are here for you now! We are friendly and don’t bite too hard. Grrr. SkatesCool instructors hold an ICP qualification at least level 1, hold public liability insurance and are CRB approved.

In-line skating courses are what we do and what we do well!

Here are five reasons why in-line skating courses are a great idea:

1. Inline skating courses are the fastest way for you to learn.
We are trained to teach in a structured way to maximize your own learning curve.

2. Inline skating courses are the safest way for you to learn.
Putting wheels under your feet is a ridiculous idea! We will teach you to tame those wheels and get you stopping.

3. Inline skating courses will build up your confidence.
Leave that fear behind and release the lion in you!

4. Inline skating courses are fun.
If you’re not smiling at the end of a lesson you can have your money back.

5. Inline skating courses will make you more attractive.
It’s a fact that skating builds muscles, reduces wrinkles and cures spots.
