I first started skating after seeing some 80’s style rollerblade ’storm trooper boots’ at my local car boot sale for a tenner and thinking it’d be a laugh. After getting in touch with the London skating crowd after several practices in the Car Parks of Reading I ended up moving up there. Theres a really good feeling of community amonst the london crowd which is what london generally lacks: people will trust and talk to other people with skates on, which is a big step for a city that wont talk to strangers on public transport.
